Happy Fuzz Friday everyone! Got a request for this one put forth on FSB. It's based on the ThroBak sTone Bender, which itself is just a straight clone of the Tone Bender Mk II Professional. The layout is setup for positive ground and PNP transistors. You can use a voltage inverter daughter board or flip any polarized components and use NPN transistors if you want to daisy chain this with other effects. Also, I added a 1k limiting resistor of the bias pot (far upper right side of the board) that may need to be adjusted to taste. Easy fit in a 1590B.
This is a library of perfboard and single-sided PCB effect layouts for guitar and bass. I'm not an electrical engineer by any stretch of the imagination, just a DIY'er who likes drawing layouts. It is meant for the hobbyist (so commercial use of any of these layout is not allowed without permission) and as a way to give back to the online DIY community.
thank you very very much

Deletei sent message on facebook but no luck. i guess email is fine.
Deletewill try today, thanks, David!
ReplyDeleteVerified. NpN version with MP35 Russian Germanium transistors and 390 Ohm resistor instead 1K (but i try other value later). Thank you again.
ReplyDeleteCool. Thanks for verifying Max!
Deletefirst cascade made darlington like animato: npn+pnp mp38a + mp 42b, bias resistor should change.very cool sustain.
ReplyDeleteAnyone got problems with low output volume. How can you increase it?
ReplyDeleteBuilt it with Q1,Q2,Q3 mp38a, any troubles with output volume!Super bender, i like it!
