This is a library of perfboard and single-sided PCB effect layouts for guitar and bass. I'm not an electrical engineer by any stretch of the imagination, just a DIY'er who likes drawing layouts. It is meant for the hobbyist (so commercial use of any of these layout is not allowed without permission) and as a way to give back to the online DIY community.

You right. Late night labeling gone awry. Fixed!
DeleteHi Loving these Pre-Amp sims. How about a nice power amp layout we could use to make these into amps rather than pedals?

Verified.
ReplyDeleteI used some J112's with twisted leads for the JFETs, which should be OK since they are just buffers here.
This one is a gainy 80's hard rock/metal sounding OD with thin/tight bass, throaty mids, and a bright top. It is not very versitile, but does its one trick really well.
I would recommend leaving the bright cap on the gain control off, since 10nF is big enough to be a coupling cap. Stock, the gain seems to control only the lowest part of a guitar signal. Clipping the cap normalized the sweep of the pot without muffling the lower (but still fairly gainy) settings.
Thanks for verifying and the build report, JDT!
DeleteThanks for the layout... More power...
