Lighthaus

Someone requested the Openhaus which, to be honest upon pulling up the schematic, made my eyes glaze over. It's big. But I came across a stripped down version on Sabrotone and it felt much more doable. So here you go! It'll fit in a 125B with top mounted jacks and both footswitches. I'll leave the method of the voltage doubling up to you.

  1. I always wanted to build an openhaus but I can not get 2N1306 transistors, I want to make this layout. Do you have any replacement suggestions for the 2N1306 a little more accessible? Greetings, and many thanks for your contributions !!!

    1. That portion of the circuit is very Fuzz Face-esque, so really any low-medium gain germaniums should work.

  4. Just finished this afternoon. Tested and works fine so you can verify it. I only ran it on a 9V supply and it sounds very good.

  5. hello guys I would also like to try my hand at making this pedal.I would like to understand if this pedal works at 9v or at 18v?
why 'in the image is depicted 18v and in the scheme uses a current doubler, give me confirmation if we could esculderela part 18v from the scheme?

  6. LND150N3 is a depletion mode MOSFET whatever that means. Check Data sheets to see what is compatible.
There whole discussion here which goes on for many pages here.

    1. What chips did you use & germanium transistors?

    2. I used what is shown on the layout. OPA2604 IC's and 2N1306 germanium. Managed to source the transistors on ebay a while back so had a few in my supplies.

  7. Thanks, i was there, read too. I used 2n7000 - it's wrong way. mine working only with resistor bias instead 2n 7000 (stage with germanium transistors)i will find LND150N3 to put there. What chips did you use & germanium transistors?

  8. Today i"ve got LND150N3, used Q3 - ГТ311ж, Q4 - ГТ311и, & it's working, real brutal metal!
