Hello,
ReplyDeleteI found one mistake on the PCB. Clipping diodes must go to 4,5V, not to ground.

I confirm this issue. Diodes should go to the yellow line.
DeleteVerified. Quite low output volume though. a bit below unity when on full volume. I Don't know if that's normal?
ReplyDeleteI don't think that's normal. You might want to troubleshoot that a bit.
DeleteThanks, I'll see what I can find with a probe
DeleteJust made it. Couldn't find MPSA14, so MPSA13 was used, IC is 4558.
ReplyDeleteAfter turning on there is very loud and continous squeeeeeak, and guitar sounds like from fuzz.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
Low output volume here too.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteVery low output. Any idea ?
Thanks.
Hello guys,
ReplyDeleteHas anyone built the working one? I am planning to do it but not sure if the clipping part correctly connected. According to the schematics I have found in the web it really should be connected to 4.5 V not to the ground. Thank you for your input
