Jordan Vico Vibe Tremolo

Not really a vibrato circuit, but a nice sounding tremolo. This layout is based on the schematic drawn by LucifersTrip on the FSB forum. I've increased the value of the film capacitors from 100n to 220n to reduce the maximum speed a little and make it more usable. People seem to have used anything from 100n to 500n for those caps, so there's room for experimentation there. I also laid it out to utilize onboard pots. It will fit nicely in a 1590B. Just drill the holes for the pots 1.2 inches apart.

The 6V8 diode is a zener, by the way.

  3. Hello!
Would you please make a layout for the Easy Vibe. There are a few versions of this little beast:

    http://www.freedreamer.it/2008/03/easyvibe-sviluppo-e-modifiche/

I really love your way to make the PCB layout.

    Thanks a lot!

    1. Thanks. I've gotten a request for that circuit before, and I've tried to lay that thing out several times. I'm pretty sure I can't make a better layout than what RG already did with that first link you posted. I would just etch his layout if it were me.

    2. I think you're underestimating your talent! You make very nice and clean layouts.
I'll give it a shot in the first link I posted, for sure.
      Thanks again!

    1. That needs to be a 6.8v diode like the 1N4736 or similar.

    2. i've found one!, now i'm going to make one, thanks for the answer.

  7. Hi,
the 4001 is wrong way round, so you get a short circut.

    1. Yeah that will probably be fine. Just use a socket.

  10. I have done but it doesn't works... the amp sounds intermittent shots but it doesn't cut the sound. The diode 1n4001 is wrong placed, isn't it? I have used c549b transistor and 570k resistors (470k + 100k) in place of 560k. Anyone could help me? Thanks.

  11. I built it. And I even managed to put everything in 1590a. But I have a problem. The sound does not change when I press the button. Clean sound in any position. I already checked everything I could. Please give me advice.

  12. the hfe of the transistor may alter the speed range of the tremolo, but should work. at least that happens with the magna vibe, that has a similar LFO. just a note

  13. I built it but not works perfectly. i have try two times and have the same problem; when play the chords some thing in the signal "burn" and makes dirty sound... first time i used silicon (2n3904) and film caps, in the second i used better components like germanium (2n222), ceramics and tantalum. And when i used the sockets not works. Do you have some "light" for me!? thanks!

  15. hello diode position 4001 error. WHAT side of the negative choose according to the contradiction of the diagrams? thanks

    1. The 4001 diode seems to be for inverse polarity protection, placed in parallel with +9V and Ground. Not the best way if you asked me, since it would short the power supply if connected backwards, but that's a different stroy. The correct orientation is with the cathode (gray stripe) facing +9V (right) and the anode facing Ground (left). This would be according to the upper left image.

  16. Hi ... I'm from Brazil ... I just did it and it does not work ... clean sound in any setting of the pots ... anything about the position of the 4001 diode that several people commented on above?

  17. HOLA EGON el circuito esta bien es buen sonido, el diodo es solo de proteccion de polaridad, el unico incoveniente del pedal es su bajo volumen deberas usar booster

  18. mine worked but had a volume drop problem.and the depth pot doesn't seem to do anything..anyway to solve this?

I have test less than 1M for DEPHT and it reduce the effect, 1M is the best
