Here's the Mocker. It's a recreation of the on-board fuzz from the Vox UL730, used by the Beatles on Revolver and a bit on Sgt. Peppers. It's fairly simple with most of the mojo coming from the OA200 clipping diodes. Socket and experiment as I've heard 1N4148s and 1N4001s sound good. The transistors are low gain silicon so if you don't want to buy BC547As, 2N2222As or 2N5550s could be could subs (just mind the pinout). Easy fit for a 1590B. Schematic for reference.

Verified! Sounds great! love the bias control.. spitty but not too hard to control, used 2N2222A and 1N914B.
ReplyDeletetone control does not do much but ill have to investigate.. i honestly don't need it because it sounds great like this.
DeleteThanks for verifying!
Deletefound the tinyest solder bridge between cap and pin 3 on the tone pot that was removing it from the circuit.. all is good now!
DeleteHi, how can I get that same PCB made but in high quality? I'm too lazy to make the PCBs myself, and I also want them to look good. Where do you get the potentiometers with the correct pin sizes for the PCBs? I see videos that look really nice.
ReplyDeleteAny chance for a Dr. Robert layout with all pots external?
