BearFoot Fx Pink Purple Fuzz

Sneaky Fuzz Friday you probably didn't see coming! And on Valentine's Day too boot. See? I still love you guys. Here's Bjorn's Pink Purple Fuzz, a hybrid JFET, silicon, and germanium transistor fuzz. Schematic and discussion on FSB here. And don't forget about the sale going on over on the store. "Val20" at checkout gets you 20% off your whole order!

Note: I'm a bit rusty. I laid the whole circuit out before realizing the Nature pot wasn't centered, and still isn't on the perf side. So if you're building on perf, and board mounting that pot, you'll just need to angle it a little to fit to the drill template.

  6. It works. Used J201 as Q1, MPSA18 as Q2 and AC128 as Q3. A little bit less gainy as the demos but works like a charm.

  7. My work too, Q1 2n4547, drain resistor changed, Q2-bc550 hfe 450, Q3 - mp38a hfe 58, Gane - enough,like distortion. I think this is not fuzz...

  9. Thanks for the work man!!!! Question: The electrolytic caps on the left side of board are marked 470nf. Should they be 470uf?

    1. They are 470nF. Bjorn used electros in the original so I replicated that here.

  10. I built one last night. Very little volume. Couldn't see why. I built another one tonight. Same thing. Very little, almost no volume. I'm using 2n5952,mpsa18 and nte103a. I seems to lose the volume just before it hits the volume pot. It's plenty loud coming off of the tranny's, and the 470pf cap. Any suggestions for me to try? Thanks in advance!!!
