This is a library of perfboard and single-sided PCB effect layouts for guitar and bass. I'm not an electrical engineer by any stretch of the imagination, just a DIY'er who likes drawing layouts. It is meant for the hobbyist (so commercial use of any of these layout is not allowed without permission) and as a way to give back to the online DIY community.
Came across this circuit and thought it was interesting. It's similar to the Tube Sound OD with added input and output buffers, plus gain and tone controls. Info, schematic and sound clip available here.

Verified, using 2N3904/2N3906. hFE on Q2 and Q3 within one unit of each other, according to my cheap DMM.
ReplyDeleteThe circuit has decent dynamics and can clean up some with the guitar's volume or soft playing.
The demo on the vero site is a pretty good representation of the pedal, but I think I prefer the Hexe TS808 clone they compare it to.
