This is a library of perfboard and single-sided PCB effect layouts for guitar and bass. I'm not an electrical engineer by any stretch of the imagination, just a DIY'er who likes drawing layouts. It is meant for the hobbyist (so commercial use of any of these layout is not allowed without permission) and as a way to give back to the online DIY community.

Baja SLO

Here's another one from Bajaman. It's a modified version of his AFD, but tuned to sound like a Soldano amp high gain channel. There are enough differences to necessitate a new board. More info here on FSB. Much like the AFD board, this one has the option for buffered bypass or true bypass. And the drilling template fore the AFD will work for the SLO as well.

    1. Yeah they should be fine. They're just acting as clipping diodes

  2. 1uF = 1uF 500v? (I sent a message on your instagram, I'm starting now and I wanted you to illustrate to me some of the items that are placed in the layout!)

    1. 500v is overkill for this and will probably be a massive cap. Get the 1uF (100v) film box caps from Tayda. That's what that capacitor model is based on.

    2. the 100v I could use on any pedal? ex suhr riot?

    3. actually, Bajaman use 1u MLCC
      like this https://www.taydaelectronics.com/1uf-50v-multilayer-ceramic-capacitor.html

save your money, and save space :D

  3. Where can I request a layout? I've been trying to find a frantone creampuff layout with board mounted pots, it'd be awesome if you did one. http://tagboardeffects.blogspot.com.au/2013/04/frantone-cream-puff.html#comment-form

    thank you

    3. Well now that I've had a minute to look over the board, why is there 3 ICs? Where are the diodes? This doesn't look right at all.

  4. That’s a good suggestion.

I’m not sure there is a spot that he officially takes suggestions. I know he reads the comments on a regular basis. It always helps if you have a schematic to work from.

Maybe we can get him to put this on the todo list.
