Here's another one from Bajaman. It's a modified version of his AFD, but tuned to sound like a Soldano amp high gain channel. There are enough differences to necessitate a new board. More info here on FSB. Much like the AFD board, this one has the option for buffered bypass or true bypass. And the drilling template fore the AFD will work for the SLO as well.
This is a library of perfboard and single-sided PCB effect layouts for guitar and bass. I'm not an electrical engineer by any stretch of the imagination, just a DIY'er who likes drawing layouts. It is meant for the hobbyist (so commercial use of any of these layout is not allowed without permission) and as a way to give back to the online DIY community.
will BC550s do?
ReplyDeleteYeah they should be fine. They're just acting as clipping diodes
Deletecan use red led too, different taste
Delete@berkicau : ada info, tampaknya Toko Sinar Gondomanan masih nyetok BC547 Phillips
@kramerian: sayangnya ud balik kalimantan mas, ga di jogja lagi *sigh*
Delete1uF = 1uF 500v? (I sent a message on your instagram, I'm starting now and I wanted you to illustrate to me some of the items that are placed in the layout!)
ReplyDelete500v is overkill for this and will probably be a massive cap. Get the 1uF (100v) film box caps from Tayda. That's what that capacitor model is based on.
Deletethe 100v I could use on any pedal? ex suhr riot?
DeleteYep
Deleteohh ! thank you very much !
Deleteactually, Bajaman use 1u MLCC
Deletelike this https://www.taydaelectronics.com/1uf-50v-multilayer-ceramic-capacitor.html
save your money, and save space :D
Baja Series is created with 1u MLCC, 50v
Deleteyeah, not smooth like poly or box caps
Where can I request a layout? I've been trying to find a frantone creampuff layout with board mounted pots, it'd be awesome if you did one. http://tagboardeffects.blogspot.com.au/2013/04/frantone-cream-puff.html#comment-form
ReplyDeletethank you

DeleteNo idea where you found this - I've been searching non stop! Thank you, exactly like that :)
DeleteWell now that I've had a minute to look over the board, why is there 3 ICs? Where are the diodes? This doesn't look right at all.
DeleteYeah that's a peach fuzz. Confusing -_-

DeleteThis page has the layout, schematic etc.
Doh, apologize. Accidentally swap folder name. Not good without glasses.

David, apologize too, not mean to hijack post.
That’s a good suggestion.
ReplyDeleteI’m not sure there is a spot that he officially takes suggestions. I know he reads the comments on a regular basis. It always helps if you have a schematic to work from.
Maybe we can get him to put this on the todo list.
Sure I'll add it. Good suggestions. I like the Frantone stuff.
Deletehttp://www.freestompboxes.org/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=28839 This would be awesome, too! The channel 3 of the VH4 is just legendary.
ReplyDelete:)
I believe the pinout for the 547's is labelled backwards in the diagram.
ReplyDeletethanks for the great layout again. Sounds awesome.
ReplyDeleteCan you make a mk2 version of this? Highly appreciated...
