This is a library of perfboard and single-sided PCB effect layouts for guitar and bass. I'm not an electrical engineer by any stretch of the imagination, just a DIY'er who likes drawing layouts. It is meant for the hobbyist (so commercial use of any of these layout is not allowed without permission) and as a way to give back to the online DIY community.

Barber Direct Drive

You asked for it, so here it is: the Barber Direct Drive. This layout follows the new compact version with 2 toggles–one for harmonics, the other for gain. The circuit itself is very similar to the original Tone Pump circuit with a few modifications. Should fit nicely in a 1590B.

    Used switch and the SPDT on off on ?

      The SPDT is an on/on in the original. You could try the on/off/on though.

    Verified, works very well, the only detail and the capacitor that is marked as 47NF it and 47UF correct: Great layout congratulations can mark as verified

    It's awesome, build it and works excellent. Actually we have OD and Distortion (80's Hair Rock) in one pedal. It's verified and recommended to build.
