Lovepedal Amp 11

Here's Lovepedal's clone of Paul C's Timmy again. This time with on-board pots and a slightly modified power section. Sean added some extra power filtering that's just unnecessary, so I simplified things. Drilling template can be found here.

  1. Why the 1uF is grayed? What does it mean, non-polar?

    1. I think it's denoting a large non-polar film cap yeh.

    2. Exactly. I laid it out with these specifically in mind:

    4. It'll work, it's just gonna be huge. That cap is better suited for the old Amp 11 layout.

    1. I actually build one over the weekend and it fired right up. Have you tried debugging with this method?

    1. You can try increasing the input cap value and also the value of the resistor coming off Treble 3.

  7. If I wanted to do a switch with the additional diodes like the timmy, would it be possible on this board?

    1. You'd have to get creative and wire the extra diodes on the switch, but it's doable. I'll be honest though, I built one Timmy with the switch and couldn't tell a difference with the extra diodes. YMMV

  8. It works, the drawing is good. I built a few pedals from the drawings here. Thanks for them.

  9. @Effects Layouts, the pot values below your layout. I guess Tone B5K is Treble in layout?
