Here's another old layout redone for all you Jonny Greenwood fans. I think the old layout was based on an old and incorrect schematic (here's the schematic used for this layout), but this one should be right and a much easier fit in an enclosure than the old one.
This is a library of perfboard and single-sided PCB effect layouts for guitar and bass. I'm not an electrical engineer by any stretch of the imagination, just a DIY'er who likes drawing layouts. It is meant for the hobbyist (so commercial use of any of these layout is not allowed without permission) and as a way to give back to the online DIY community.
Nice! Tks
ReplyDeleteAgreed, glad to see this updated. I'll compare it to the original layout when I have some time.
ReplyDeleteFYI - for those who feel it's too dark, that 1n cap in the lower right is a good place to start. That's where the 'Blunt/Sharp' switch is on the Hyde side of the Visual Sound Jekyll & Hyde. It toggles between the stock 1n cap (Blunt) and a 100pF (Sharp). I'd recommend something in-between (470pF, maybe) as I think the Sharp mode is too bright.
THANKS MAN!!! mod high gain, replace 680k to 1M5
ReplyDeleteI found what I believe to be the factory schematic here:

Only items that appear to be a little off are the 4.1K and 40K resistors, which I have visually confirmed to be 4.7Ks and 47Ks in the SM gutshots. Everything else on this schem matches up with the gutshot parts layout/copper tracing.
Verified, built the perfboard layout yesterday and works perfectly.
ReplyDeleteHello from Japan.
ReplyDeleteI checked this layout. It seems that C15(200nF), R13(100k) is missing in layout.
Thanks for catching that. Those components have been added and the layout updated. It eliminated the need for one of the jumpers.
DeleteThanks for updating the layout!
