Stumbled across this schematic on FSB. It's a buffer/EQ/preamp for peizo pickups, specifically all Barcus-Berry electret microphone systems. I figured most would be building this into an instrument and not a pedal, so all the pots are off-board. If you're planning on running it only off a 9v battery, you cab get away without the power filter cap (47uF) or the polarity protection diode (1N4001).
This is a library of perfboard and single-sided PCB effect layouts for guitar and bass. I'm not an electrical engineer by any stretch of the imagination, just a DIY'er who likes drawing layouts. It is meant for the hobbyist (so commercial use of any of these layout is not allowed without permission) and as a way to give back to the online DIY community.
finaly you made this week i build
ReplyDeleteIf I build it for an acoustic guitar and put it inside, like taylor acoustic, what d'you think brother?
ReplyDeletePretty sure that's what it's designed for
Deletecan you go for a music man sabre II bass pre-amp.. it would nice for us bass player to upgrade our guitar..
ReplyDeleteCan i use this with electret mics?
ReplyDeleteVerified, though I tested it with a TL072 chip.
ReplyDeleteI don't have any instruments with piezo pickups, so I tested it with a regular electric guitar. It seems pretty transparent and clear.
The effect level is at about unity with the volume knob maxed. You could replace the volume pot with a fixed resistor and have a good, small two-band EQ module to add to something else.
I also replaced all the weird resistor values with more common ones:
Delete2.15k -> 2.2k
21.5k -> 22k
27.4k -> 27k
121k -> 120k
Thanks for verifying!
DeleteCan i use jrc4558 instead of tl062????
ReplyDeleteYeah, any dual opamp should work
DeleteI tried didnt work i resoldered it again still didnt work..
DeleteVerified. Works good.. i kept volume pot 500k coz i didnt had 100k it works well
ReplyDeleteWill there be any volume drop if i kep 500k instead of 100k?
Is that 10uf for dc block???
ReplyDeletei try cannot work..the baterry is hot...
ReplyDeletehello there, what is the name with which it is stored in the Transfer Image Library? Thank you
ReplyDeleteits un misc
