Toadworks Mr. Squishy

Here's an interesting take on the Orange Squeezer compressor from Toadworks. Extra controls and clean boost capabilities when the Squish control is at zero and the Level control is maxed. Schematic here for reference.

  2. Muito obrigado pelo lyout.
Dica para quem vai construir isso: Substitua o Resistor de 6k2 por um Trimpot 10k e ajuste.

  3. Mine has no boost function, operates at unity gain when pushed to full volume. Also the input has to be up full to get any usable signal level. If I drop the gain level 20% I loose signal all together. Also, quite dull sounding, a lot of top end gone when engaged. Its compressing, but not sustaining quite as nicely as my standard Orange squeezer. I've matched the jfets, checked all values, I've been over the circuit quite a few times. If this is how it should operate, its a bit underwhelming.

Is it not supposed to use a germanium diode at D1? I seem to remember it being somewhat important in the squeezer. I'll give that a try and report back.
