This is a library of perfboard and single-sided PCB effect layouts for guitar and bass. I'm not an electrical engineer by any stretch of the imagination, just a DIY'er who likes drawing layouts. It is meant for the hobbyist (so commercial use of any of these layout is not allowed without permission) and as a way to give back to the online DIY community.

Wampler Sovereign

Here's another Wampler take on the JFET mu-amp design. This one adds a op amp stage at the output and features a Big Muff-style tone stack. This one's pretty versatile and a great sounding distortion. Ian sent me his perf layout of this one and I refined it a bit for what you see below, so a special thanks to him.   2. You can mark it verified! The only thing I changed was the Mids pot, I connected lugs 1 and 2 to the 33nf cap and lug 3 to ground. It should work either way though.

  3. I etched the pcb a while ago and just yesterday i populated the pcb. At first it does not fired up and after debugging i found our that the Gate on the Q2 is not connected on the pcb side. Now its working good.

    1. It's biasing Q5. Set it so you get about 4.5v on the drain and then adjust by ear if necessary.
