This is a library of perfboard and single-sided PCB effect layouts for guitar and bass. I'm not an electrical engineer by any stretch of the imagination, just a DIY'er who likes drawing layouts. It is meant for the hobbyist (so commercial use of any of these layout is not allowed without permission) and as a way to give back to the online DIY community.

One-Knobber Project

I haven't made a detailed project in a while, so for Fuzz Friday here's the One-Knobber. It's based on the old Dr. Tony Balls stripboard layout that covered the ColorSound One-Knob, D*A*M Meathead and Dark Meathead, and a one-knob adaptation of the '66 Vox ToneBender, and I've added the Ritual fuzz by Black Arts Toneworks.

  1. I HAVE DIFICULTY TO PRINT THE PDF PROJECT, MANY ERRORS ACUSSED BY THE PRINTER, BUT THIS PROJECT IS AWESOME, BECAUSE IT CAN SHOW US THE WAYS THAT WE CAN IMPROVE THE FUZZ PROJECT OR CREATE A NEW VARIATION OF THAT ... THANKS FOR ALL...

    1. You'd replace R6 with a 1 or 2k pot and move C4 across lug 2 and 1 (negative side of the cap going to lug one which is going to ground). Honestly, you're probably better off building something like the Jack DeVille Vintage 2-knob Fuzz where the layout already has the fuzz control.
