Haven't done a layout with board mounted pots in a while, so here's the Lovepedal Black Magic. It's a LM386 based distortion that tries to get achieve the "Brown Sound." I added polarity protection and put the LED resistor on the board as well.
This is a library of perfboard and single-sided PCB effect layouts for guitar and bass. I'm not an electrical engineer by any stretch of the imagination, just a DIY'er who likes drawing layouts. It is meant for the hobbyist (so commercial use of any of these layout is not allowed without permission) and as a way to give back to the online DIY community.
has anyone else experienced a mistake on this layout?
ReplyDeletePlease try this layout brother,
Delete100% verified. Sounds great.
ReplyDeleteis this really 100% working?
ReplyDeleteVery quiet
ReplyDeleteDoes it work?
ReplyDeleteCan i exchange 4.7nf anything else? I cannot seem to find it anywhere
ReplyDeleteSure. Just find something close. 3.3nF or 5.6nF or put two 10nF caps in series to create a 5nF cap.
DeleteI actually kept 6.8nf
DeletePot is the problem now i cannot find any 500ohm pot ..i kept 500kpot but when i turn in full theres a noise i cant get rid of.i think its not grounding noise..something else when i turn in full
And is it 500ohm linear or is it 500k ohm?
ReplyDeleteI cudnt find any 500 ohm linear pots
You can use a 1k pot and then wire a 1k resistor from lug 1 to lug 3, which will make it a 500Ω pot.
DeleteIll say it again.. you rock man
DeleteAnyway i can add tone knob in this circuit???
ReplyDeleteAnd if i use all ceramic capacitor instead of film capacitor will there be any problem??? Or diffrent ?
IF you want a tone control, build the Lovepedal Purple Plexi 800. Essentially the same circuit with a tone control. Shouldn't be any difference with ceramic caps.
DeleteHello.
ReplyDeleteWhat program did you use to design the pcb?
Diylc
