This is a library of perfboard and single-sided PCB effect layouts for guitar and bass. I'm not an electrical engineer by any stretch of the imagination, just a DIY'er who likes drawing layouts. It is meant for the hobbyist (so commercial use of any of these layout is not allowed without permission) and as a way to give back to the online DIY community.

Devi Ever Ruby

Here's another Devi circuit for Fuzz Friday–the Ruby. It's essentially 2 Electras (sans clipping diodes) stacked. In Devi's own words, "The Ruby is like a Tone Bender, but way classier and secretly more misogynistic."

  1. If i wan a deep sound, I´ve to change the 100nf cap of lug 3 intensity, right?

    1. Probably just up the value of all the film caps if you want a lot of bass or want to use this on bass.

  2. Another nice working circuit! I made some modifications to the cap values (to get more low end) and used other transistors (MPSA are not easy to purchase in my country). Thanks for the layout!

  4. I just want to ask what's the voltage value of that electrolytic cap?

    1. Theoretically, anything equal to or higher than the supply voltage (9v). In practice though, I don't use anything lower than 25v for supply filter caps.

  5. Any other source for the schematic? Devi's DIY ones are offline, cant seem to find a reference schematic anywhere.
