This is a library of perfboard and single-sided PCB effect layouts for guitar and bass. I'm not an electrical engineer by any stretch of the imagination, just a DIY'er who likes drawing layouts. It is meant for the hobbyist (so commercial use of any of these layout is not allowed without permission) and as a way to give back to the online DIY community.

Basic Audio Spooky Tooth

Found a trace of this over on the Tagboard Forum. It appears to be a highly modified Fuzzrite with an added gain recovery stage and a lot of value changes. The Saturation pot increases the output cap of the first stage, and the Fuzz pot is a pregain control. Originals use PN2222 transistors for Q1-2, which is a TO-92 packaged 2N2222A, so either will work just fine. Here's the schematic for reference and I there are fabricated boards for this in the store.

  1. Btw. if you do need some inspiration for future layouts: How about a buzzaround layout (yet another one again - but wait, there's more to come) including a) a voltage converter (7660s based), b) a master volume control (people report a 100K pot after the attack pot works best), c) including the few (I think only two) aditional pads needed to incorporate the D*A*M Buzzotron modifications plus finally the most import: d) board mounted pots. That's something the community is still missing if you research on most buzzaround related diy stuff. Think, many people would appreciate it. Oh well, at least me. You bet I would build this for sure. :D

  2. I would like to request a layout for 7th Heaven (http://tagboardeffects.blogspot.com/2014/06/goosoniqueworx-seventheaven.html) if you mind.

  5. Hi. I just ordered a PCB for this fuzz from your store and but after completing payment your store gave a PayPal timeout while PayPal says the money was withdrawn successfully. I saw no contact details on the store (or on this site) so just hoped to check if the order came through? Thanks!

  7. Hello, I built the Spooky Tooth with 2n2222 metalic, 2n5088 and 22nf in texture, killer fuzz! I have a query, the original is very noisy in extreme configurations?
