Sewer Pipes Ring-Verb

Here's a cool PT2399-based circuit designed by David Edgar (DIYSB member Earthscum). He describes it as, "kind of like playing in a sewer tunnel..." Here's a link to the original schematic and discussion over on DIYSB.

I noticed the schematic image in the DIYSB thread is now broken, so I've drawn up a new one for reference here.

    1. I probably misread the schematic for the pot lugs. Try putting the wire to lug 3 to lug 1 instead and vise versa.

    1. I already included the Resonance mod from the guy who designed it. Check out the thread on DIYSB.

  3. Pretty cool little effect. It has a very loud pop when I turn it on. Did anyone else have that issue?

    1. Add a pull down resistor from the input to ground. 1M should work fine

  5. Hi, I'm cristobal de chile, I have a query, is there a wiring diagram? On the other hand, do you have to print the inverted board or are you ready to do it? I have been occupying a CNC to do the board. It is necessary to connect the input and output to earth, how is that connection?

    grettings from chile !!!

    1. If you're making the pcb on a CNC you will have to flip the image. There's a general wiring diagram in the General Layout Notes tab at the top of the page.

    1. I think about omitting resonance and staying with one pot. would it be the case of using a jumper?

  13. Hi. I'm a beginner with PCB creation and I don't understand the meaning of the circled "A" on the schematic. Can someone explain to me please? I would like to reproduce it on Eagle but I don't know what to do with this symbol

    1. There are 2, "A" reference points on the schematic and it's a way of connecting two points of the circuit without drawing a line all the way from one side to the other. It's just a way of making the schematic a little cleaner.

  16. The 10uF capacitor at the input is reversed on the layout, that means i can use a non-polarized capacitor? or what difference does it make?
