Spaceman Atlas III

Hope everyone's staying safe and healthy. Today's layout is a unique preamp booster from Spaceman Effects, the Atlas III. It uses some FETs I'd never heard of in conjunction with a couple low gain silicon BJTs (use something in the 175-225 hFE range). The switch controls the phase of your signal (it's internal in the original). Schematic can be found here for reference.

Also, I updated the Make a Difference page on the website to include a few funds working to help in the aftermath of the Beruit explosion. It's killed well over 150 people, injured 6000 and left over 300,000 people homeless. If you can, do some good, offer some home and help out some people who are really hurting.

  2. Not sure where you are, but RS Compnents have them. Code is 829 3250. They are designed for high voltage circuits up to 500v. https://docs.rs-online.com/c5f9/0900766b8137e737.pdf

  4. It works! Used PN3565 for the NPNs and made the 180nFs out of 100n and 82n caps.
surprising that both sides of the phase switchs are useable. also I tested it after drive and it doesn,t distort. It the same distortion only louder.

  9. Thanks for putting these Spaceman Effects veros out. I used to have more time to do them in the past, but tracing for the Dead End FX projects takes up most of my time these days. Cheers!
