Baja AFD MkII

Gotten a couple requests for this one. Here's Bajaman's second take at his AFD circuit with a better frequency response than the first AFD. More info here on FSB. Should fit nicely in a 1590B.

  2. Hi Loving these Pre-Amp sims. How about a nice power amp layout we could use to make these into amps rather than pedals?

    1. AFD stands for Apetite For Destruction
      (Marshall AFD100 / Slash's signature)

  5. Verified.

I used some J112's with twisted leads for the JFETs, which should be OK since they are just buffers here.

This one is a gainy 80's hard rock/metal sounding OD with thin/tight bass, throaty mids, and a bright top. It is not very versitile, but does its one trick really well.

I would recommend leaving the bright cap on the gain control off, since 10nF is big enough to be a coupling cap. Stock, the gain seems to control only the lowest part of a guitar signal. Clipping the cap normalized the sweep of the pot without muffling the lower (but still fairly gainy) settings.
