Nobels ODR-1

Got a request for this one. It's an interesting variation of the Tube Screamer circuit, but with a lot of changes and modifications. There's an optional boost switch you can include if you like that's not apart of the original. If you don't want to include it, just don't populate the 270Ω resistor and 2.2uF connected to the Boost Switch 1 pad. Here's the schematic for reference.

    Would love to see the noble mods in more detail. Dont suppose you have a higher rez version of the schematic anywhere? Cant read the values on this one.

  5. Wich cap to change for less bass? And how much would need to be changed to get a "true bypass"?

    1. Put a 50k revers log pot between the 1.5k resistor and the 2.2uF cap to reduce your bass, or a single resistor of your chosen level of reduction.

  6. Any voltages for the project ? Im vetting 2v instead of 9v the minute i put in a transistor or an ic, dont matter which one, i might be using an older version cause i etched this in 1.9.2016

  7. Verified, but the solder-side and component-side images are not reversed from each other.

    I socketed the 100nF cap on the left side of the board. I tried a 27nF there, which I liked better for guitar, and a 220nF, which I liked better for bass.

  9. I built it on perfboard and it works and sounds very good.
    According to the schematic the 2nF capacitor between 5k1 and 22k should be an 82nF. I changed that value and built it without the boost switch.
    As JDT mentioned the solder side image is not reversed, and is a bit different from the component side image, too.
