Treeline Overdrive

Happy New Year everyone! I thought I'd kick off the New Year with something different. Lately I've been doing a lot of work in Eagle CAD for some non-blog related projects and thought I'd do a few single sided layouts with it. For your perf guys, don't worry, this isn't going to be a super regular thing. I'll still be doing perf layouts–just taking a little break this week.

A while back I got an Earthquaker Devices Bellows and was impressed with how almost everything was board mounted (with the exception of the footswitch). I got the wild idea of making a few layouts in Eagle with board mounted pots and jacks and sharing them here. So without further ado, here's what I'm calling the Treeline Overdrive.

  2. Looks impressive. I love board mounting as much as possible, so I'm sure going to order some parts and give it a shot.

  5. First thanks for all your hardwork that i know it takes to produce all these layouts and the website! I hate wire and have been hoping id be able to find some layouts like this. Ive never ordered any of the enclosed jacks w pcb pins. small bear has the exact ones you specify in the BOM. Do you know if these type jacks have universal pin spacing? Ive done a little research and cant find info on alot of these type jacks. Im going to give mammoth an email to ask them about the ones they have, all the info they listed is that theirs are similar to Neutrik NMJ4HCD2.

    1. I don't know about the spacing of other enclosed jacks. I got my Neutriks from Small Bear, as they were the match to the Eagle CAD model. I'd be interested to see what the spacing is on Mammoth's jacks.

  6. Are you planning on tracing the Bellows? I've been really interested in what that circuit looks like. I just ordered some pcb mount power jacks. Gonna give these a try. Really cool idea!
