Walrus Audio Mayflower

Here's the Walrus Audio Mayflower, which is essentially a hybrid between the Tube Screamer and the Timmy (which has its roots in the TS already). Originals use a second dual opamp for buffering the voltage divider, which in this instance seems to just be unnecessary, so I've omitted that.

    1. I use 4007 instead of 4001. would it be problem?

    2. The 4007 is fine. Does the effect work? Or does the IC just get hot? Have you tried other ICs?

    3. The 4558 just gets hot without produces any sound.

    4. Then you've probably got a short from the pin 8 to one of the other pins.

  3. I built this one today, works perfect.
    Amazing OD, very transparent.
Thank you for another great layout

  4. Just finished mine, and somehow my 3pdt switch is popping while activating effect, even with no diode, what can it be?

    1. Try running a pull down resistor from the board out to ground. 100k is where I'd start.

  5. There's a mistake on the schematics that circles around the internet. The 10k resistor on the buffer isn't right, it should be just like the buffer on the Tube Screamers. This corrects the switching pop

  7. Eu a partir do layout, fiz o schematic e não vi nada de errado, realmente o resistor de 10K que vai para o terra são iguais o do Tube Screamers, BB Preamp, AC/RC Booster dentre outros...
