DOD FX91 Bass Overdrive

Always need more bass effects, right? This was one of the first bass ODs to have a clean blend. Should be an easy fit in a 1590B. Here's the schematic for reference.

  1. Can I replace 4560D to 4558D or 4580D?

    1. So! Catching fleas :) According to the scheme:
      220nF need to ground.
      47nF (near BLEND (2)) should be 470p.
All pass-through 10uF - polarity should be in the opposite direction.

    2. Right you are! Never seen a decimal used with nF values like that. Fixed all but the blend lugs as I believe that's how it was on the originals—dry signal counter clockwise, effected signal clockwise.

  3. What would it be - dry signal counter clockwise, effected signal clockwise - need to swap 1 and 3 BLEND.
I know what I'm talking about - in front of me is a working layout ;)

    Thanks for your work!

  6. 我用500p替代了470p,用100p替代了120p,用4558替代了4560,我得到的增益很小,我应该改正吗?

  8. The 10uf input cap needs to be flipped. Currently the negative side is going to the transistor.

  9. Made it. Nice sound. Altough I'm not sure the blend is working as it should. When set to dry It still sounds distorted, but with less volume. Never get a dry sound if Drive is set past mid.
