Can LF442 be substituted for anything else? Tried TL062 and OPA2134, but the circuit is giving out ultra low level sound through. Guess I may have made a soldering mistake somewhere, but can't spot anything. Either way - if LF442 is the only way to go, I'd need to import it to my country :/
I used a TL072 while waiting for the LF442. Works fine accept for the constant overall boost. Mid control all the way down is not unity at all. I'll see what the LF442 will do but if you insert an output trim, the TL072 will work.
Thank you. This works like a charm and will soon land on my in progress custom strat. Been planning to build a guitar with midboost on it and this demeter fat boost is exactly what i need. It coaxes easily those 80s sound i've been looking for so long. I was able to source out LF442 in china. 10pcs for less than $2. I auditioned all of it until i chose the one that i liked. Again thank you!
By the way i might modify the circuit on my next build (to be encase in alum pedal) where in i can use a pcb mount pot instead. Therefore i need to route the pinning of 1, 2 and 3 to accomodate the pot. This might add few extra mm below the circuit.
Though have not boxed yet, it is verified. I'm concidering building this into my guitar.
ReplyDeleteNice! Thanks for verifying
DeleteWhere is the tranfers?
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Must have forgotten to upload it. It's in the Demeter folder now

ReplyDelete@Effects Layouts: So mid2 is Out but I also have to connect mid2 to that pad in the board? Is that correct?
ReplyDeleteYes, I have the same question as JRDN - SO the Mid2 is both Out AND connected to a pad on the board?
