BBE Boosta Grande

The Boosta Grande is a simple opamp-based boost that's pretty similar to the MXR Micro Amp. Only differences being where the pot is in the circuit and component value changes. Offers up to +20dB of boost. Should fit in a 1590A if you don't board mount the pot.

  1. It works well without problems has a decent gain, but the gain of the MXR Micro Amp is at least twice as much, I think it is not this time, I replace my clone of Micro Amp.
Thank you! By the excellent circuits, I hope you continue for a long time.

  3. Guys... can I replace the C10K pot with a B10K?
Not able to find the exact component in this god forsaken place ... :S

    1. B10k will work. The sweep of the pot might be a little off from the original, but it'll still function fine.

    2. you could also wire an a log A type pot backwards

  4. It's working, nice gain! I will try to find the C10K because the B10K seems to go from 0 to 100 in the last 5% :S

  6. Its not working. On the original schematic I saw a C1=220uF after diode that could be for ripple and is missing here. Othre question is C10 appear as 1000uF and here is 100uF. Using a test probe test I can hear sound on input pin 2 on TL071, but no sound on pin 6 of TL076. On capacitor c6=5n6 and resitor r8=10K the voltage is dropping from 4 to 3 volts. I only potenciometer from C10K to B10k and others is the same.
