I've gotten a few requests for the Mk. III and found several good stock layouts on FSB, so I thought I'd go with a slightly modified version of the DLS Mk. III. This has an added presence control, as well as an onboard charge pump. It's designed for use in a 125B with top mounted jacks, and the pots are all board mounted. Here's the schematic the layout is based on for reference.
I think J201s will be ok. Just be sure to use sockets.
Are you asking about a switch to go between 9v and 18v? You'd use a SPDT switch with lug 1 going to the +9v pad on the layout, lug 2 going to the DC jack/battery, and lug 3 going to the trace that connects to the drain of Q5 (you'll have to get creative wiring that in as there's not a pad for that).
The purpose of 1044/7660 is to raise supplied voltage from 9 to 18 volts and provide mOAr headroom for this circuit.
You can omit chargepump if you already have 18v power supply.
>And how to make the control of Super Lead and Super Bass .
You'll have to tweak some values, add treble bleed cap to output vol and bunch of other stuff. I highly doubt you'll be able to make a compact and simple switch to jump from super lead to super bass, at least for this circuit.
Hi, I made the pcb but I have an issue with bass control. It works only in the first part of the pot course. I check pot type (A1M) and it's ok. What could be the problem? Thanks in advance
cool! Good layout !!!
ReplyDeletethis pcb works?
ReplyDeleteProbably. It's not verified yet though.
DeleteHi, As I do to alternate between 9v and 18v ?
ReplyDeleteAnd can use J201 ?
Thanks

Sorry buddy, I actually wanted to ask:
DeleteWhat is the purpose of the MAX1044?
I can use the power supply of 9v and 18v ?
And how to make the control of Super Lead and Super Bass .
Sorry my ignorance friend

Thank you guy for clarifying my doubts =)
DeleteBass and Mid pot are reversed.
ReplyDeletehi, there's a way to do the super bass/super lead switch on this board?

ReplyDeleteFriend: Verified! Sounds perfect with the 2n5457. Thank you for your work!
Thanks for the information, and right now I'm going to buy the parts to make this pedal.. hahahah
DeleteI have made it! I used soviet kp303a transistors & chip 7660.Thank you for your works!!!
