Crazy Tube Circuits Ziggy Overdrive

Here's a cool MOSFET-based overdrive from Crazy Tube Circuits. Apparently it's based on a Neve console input channel stacked 3 times. With the gain down it sounds a bit like an AC30, and with it cranked it sounds like a Plexi. It was traced over on FSB (link here) and I've laid it out for board mounted pots. If you're interested in a fabricated board, check out the Starman in the store.

    1. According to the schematic on the same page and over on FSB it's 22nF. And really, 7 nanofarads isn't all that much difference and will probably sound pretty much the same either way. So just adjust that cap to personal taste.

    1. You beat me to it! I etched a board, but haven't had time to build it up yet. Thanks for verifying!

  7. hello, I have mounted everything according to the drawings only I have not found resistances of 240 homs instead I tried to install 220 homs and 270 homs but it does not work with any of them, it could be due to that it has to be just the resistance of 240 homs, the led lights and sounds only when it is in bypass. Thank you.
