Got a request for this one. It's an overdrive that's supposed to get you into Dumble sound territory. There are 2 versions of this pedal out there, a one knob version (with just a volume control), and a 3-knob version that the layout below follows.
Level and tone work, but it doesn't produce any drive, only clean sound. I've double checked the wire and change the ic 3 times still doesnt work well. Any idea?
hi everybody another great layout! mine worked at the first time, i substituted the 7.15k resistor with 7,5k, but i also have very less overdrive! ( and maby too less low-end!). i,m going to change the 22n cab to a 220n, hope that helps. greetings from austria!
hi everybody just one question: then tone pot has less effect! i substituded the 7,15 k resistor with a 7,5k , could this be the fault of my tone control? (sorry for my awful english, normally i speak german, hi hi ) i will try to change it to a 6,8k, maby it would fix the problem. ( im not willing to stack resistors to get exat 7,15k) maby somene else has the same problem, please let me know!! thanks PS: the sound of the pedal with or without a effective tone control, is great!!
Is there a more readable schematic? It's a bit messy to back track the schematic with the board design.
ReplyDeleteif I want to use 3pdt switch for boost switch, do I just need to follow the pin out in General Layout Notes? how to wire the led for boost switch?

DeleteYep!
DeleteI believe those SWs are the input and output for the boost section. If so, which one is the input and output?
DeleteI'm pretty sure that sw3/6 is the input of the boost section, and sw2 is the output. What's the function of sw5?

ReplyDeleteI just ran into a similar problem with an Acapulco Gold clone. So far I have not come up with a solution.
DeleteFunny, I got no problem when making that one haha. Anyway, can I see the schematic for this one?
DeleteI did a little research through the internet and found that 22nF should be 220nF. Still got no time to replace mine. I'll be back with report later
