This is a great sounding drive pedal from Mad Professor. Very dynamic and tube-like, the Sweet Honey is a medium gain overdrive that can produce a wide range of tones, from jazz to heavy rock. I've laid the board out for right angle PCB pots mounted from the solder-side of the board, and it should all fit nicely in a 1590B.
Hi! Thanks for the layout! Are those weird values really important? Even 2k is impossible to find where I live! Tell me if it would make a big difference if i sub 2k2/2k, 3k3/3k, 2k7/2.61, and 15k(maybe 12k?)/13.7k.
I don't quite understand how you fit this in a box with the pots laid out the way they are. They all would end up in a line with the volume in the middle using board mounted pots No? It sounds fantastic but having a hard time wrapping my head around the pot layout....unless they're mounted on the components side...? Any help?
The drilling template is missing... As Charvel502 mentioned above, it's not possible to mount the pots on the board on the solder side, they're too close (regular 16mm pots). Not a big deal, i surely will wire the Volume pot.
22nF elco?
ReplyDeleteWhoops that should be 22µF
DeleteI can't hardly hear the difference when I turn the Focus pot around
ReplyDeleteanyway, I guess you can mark this one verified dude

ReplyDeleteIf it were me building it, I would use those same substitutions. Shouldn't change the sound all that much.
DeleteI did it. Amazing sound. Thanks for the layout
