This one was a request. It's another layout for Jordan BossTone, but with onboard pots. Because of the onboard pots I was able to add an anti-popping pull down resistor on the input. Q1 is NPN silicon (so 2N2222 or 2N3904) and Q2 is PNP silicon (2N2907 or 2N3906). The pot centers are 1.2 inches (≈ 3cm) apart. You can use this same layout for the EHX Satisfaction fuzz by leaving out the clipping diodes (1N4148s).
Hi!
ReplyDeleteI think the connection between the two 18k resistors is missing.
Cheers!
Paulo
That's true. I built it and it didn't work at first time, but when i soldered 18k resistors, it's all good. Thank you!
DeleteIs the layout corrected or does a connection still need to be made between the 18k resistors?
DeleteHi, I know it has been verified already, but just wanted to confirm that it is a great sounding pedal. There is just mod I would like to add a 4,7k resistor in series with lug 1 of the Attack Pot and Ground to get rid of feedback noise that might appear for some when the Attack pot is near zero.
ReplyDeleteThe PDR isn't really necessary since the Attack pot functions as a 100k Pull-Down Resistor. I know I'm over 7 years late, but for the future, now you know :)
ReplyDeleteI also want to note that using a medium-gain PNP Germanium transistor for Q2 sounds quite lovely!
