The problem was in the printed circuit board, when redrawing the printed circuit board, he made a mistake, namely, he missed the path from the 560 Ohm resistor to the 47 Mf capacitor.Alexhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07921413743154142901noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5481402030233340127.post-43181257603188619792023-08-01T01:15:53.096-04:002023-08-01T01:15:53.096-04:00hey there! where was your problem exactly? i'm...hey there! where was your problem exactly? i'm having exactly the same issue with my own build, sound, but almost no amplification, and saw other people also use other transistors with no problem(like you i also thought that initially) and came across your comment.. would love to hear what issue you had that caused this because it may lead to the solution easier for my own build! Works with almost any hfe (tested transistors from hfe 140 to hfe 700) different combinations, but it's a matter of taste, I settled on 2n5088 (650-700). The problem was not in the transistors, but in the board (my mistake). I tried to create this pedal without changing the board, the only thing I changed was replacing the trimpod with a potentiometer, I used BC107 transistors, since BC109 are not available in my countries and as a result there is almost no amplification (almost pure sound), then as Q1 I used MP38 hfe 140, it gave a slightly better result, but still far from fuzz even at maximum settings. As someone has experience with this, please help with advice on how to make it work. I really hate asking this, but I have searched High & low, near and far, gone through hundreds of search pages at FSB & DIYSB and not been able to locate a schematic. I don't expect anyone to do my work for me, so maybe a hint of where I might find it?

Thanks,
Will Will Kenworthyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16422000200136139825noreply@blogger.com
