EHX/JHS Big Muff 2

Happy Holidays, everyone. This one seemed like it needed laying out before the year came to a close, so here's the new EXH/JHS colab, the Big Muff 2. It's an op amp based Big Muff that's not like the typical ICBM, but uses 2, 4558s in 3 soft clipping configurations into a BMP tone stack. Schematic on FSB, should fit in a 1590B. Happy New Year!

  3. There are updates on this per Lacesensor over at FSB.
On my schematic earlier, the output cap would be 10uF on the production pedals
The 100k and 470k around the final op amp stage would be 10k on the production pedals
The power supply is more parts, with separately decoupled op-amps, and a single op-amp buffered Vref supply.
The input pull down is 1M with a 47pF in parallel.
Output volume control is B10k on the production pedals. I personally don't prefer it having tried both - A100k or I guess A10k good subs.

  4. Verified!! Experience the ultimate muff sound!! However, since the output was extremely high, a 1kΩ semi-fixed resistor was added before the output to create a voltage divider circuit :)

  5. I would like to add a tone bypass mod to this. Could someone advise me on how to wire this to the BM2?

  6. Oh hell yeah, I was just looking at this schematic trying to talk myself into making a layout. Thank you sir.
